Dr. Josh Curling
Dr. Josh Curling is a Chesapeake native and graduated from Hickory High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in biology at Old Dominion University, and then went on to attain his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Curling opened Edinburgh Family Dentistry in Chesapeake in 2010 where he has been committed to staying up-to-date on the latest treatments and technology. He is certified to provide dental implant restorations, same-day crowns, and many other advanced cosmetic and restorative procedures. In November 2007, Dr. Curling married Devyn. They welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Ella, into their lives in August 2009. Precious Clara was born in July 2011, and adorable Annalise joined the Curling family in May 2013. The Curling family attends Bridge Church in Virginia Beach, and they enjoy being a part of their community and giving back. In his free time, Dr. Curling loves to spend time with his family, surf at the Outer Banks, participate in Spartan races, travel, and read.
Dr. Jerel Gutierrez
Dr. Jerel Gutierrez graduated from Great Bridge High School and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in biology at Virginia Tech. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, where he and Dr. Curling were roommates. In order to stay on the leading-edge of the newest dental treatments and technology, Dr. Gutierrez attends a variety of certification courses each year. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, and Tidewater Dental Association. He is certified to provide a variety of advanced cosmetic and restorative procedures, including implant restoration, and same-day crowns. Dr. Gutierrez married Jennifer, a diagnostic radiologist specializing in breast cancer, in July 2007. In November 2008, the Gutierrez family welcomed their first baby boy, Jamison, into the world. He was closely followed by their second little boy, Jeron, in February 2010. Their little princess, Janiah, joined the family in February 2013. The Gutierrez family are members of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Virginia Beach. When he’s not working, Dr. Gutierrez loves to spend quality time with his family, surf, travel and most of all to go boating and fishing.
Dr. Caleb Conrad
Dr. Caleb Conrad was born and raised in Bryan, Ohio and graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in zoology. He studied abroad in Ecuador before continuing his education at the prestigious Case Western Reserve. There, he received a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Being part of a family of medical practitioners, he saw first-hand the passion for patient care and is continuing his family’s legacy at Edinburgh Family Dentistry. Upon joining our team in December 2016, Dr. Conrad stated, “It’s nice to find a dental practice that excels in all the important areas: technology, training, efficient staff, sincere care, and financial flexibility for patients. Edinburgh Family Dentistry hasn’t let any of these areas decline.” He is certified to provide advanced treatments like implant restoration and same-day dental crowns. His preference for warmer weather and nice beaches led Dr. Conrad to move to Hampton Roads. 2017 was a very exciting year for the Conrad family. Dr. Conrad started full time with Edinburgh Family Dentistry, married Katlyn, and welcomed precious baby Quinn Elinor to their new family. When he is not working, he loves spending time with Katlyn and Quinn, and they always enjoy when they are able to include their two dogs on their family outings. He is also grateful for time he can spend with his brother, Jacob, who is a physician in Charlottesville. Dr. Conrad’s hobbies include working with his hands, surfing, kiteboarding, mountain biking, snowboarding, and visiting the Outer Banks. In addition, he is a faithful Ohio State Buckeye fan and loves cheering on his team in various sports.

A Virginia Beach native, Audrey has been in the dental field since 1998 and joined the Edinburgh Family Dentistry front desk team in August 2010. She feels blessed to be a part of such an amazing team and enjoys providing excellent customer service to everyone who walks through the door! If you need information regarding your insurance or account, Audrey will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Audrey currently resides in Currituck County, NC, with her husband and two daughters. Outside of the office, she can most likely be found at the softball field, golf course, or the volleyball court with her family. She loves living in close proximity to Sandbridge and OBX beaches.Diana K.

Diana grew up in the Pungo area of Virginia Beach and joined the Edinburgh Family Dentistry front desk team in May 2011. She still feels just as excited and blessed to be a part of such an amazing work family as the day she started. If you need any information regarding your insurance, outstanding insurance claims, future appointments, or if you need to schedule an appointment, Diana will be happy to assist you and answer any questions you may have. Along with her fiancé, Brandon, and two sons, Kayden and Rylan, Diana now lives in Grandy, NC. When she isn’t working, she can be found riding her side-by-side, mud-bogging, fishing, camping, or beaching it on Carova with her family.Kimberly DV.

Kimberly was raised in a pastor’s home and has lived in numerous places. She considers the Nashville, Tennessee area “home.” She has worked in the dental field since 1988 and joined the Edinburgh Family Dentistry team when the practice opened in February 2010. She has enjoyed getting to know and building relationships with patients as well as being involved in a thriving practice. If you ever have questions or concerns about any aspect of the practice, please feel free to give Kimberly a call. She wants to make sure our patients have the best experience they possibly can and is always willing to lend an ear for any feedback you may have! She married her husband, John, in 1998 and they were blessed to adopt a beautiful little girl, Emersyn, in 2007. Melissa was raised in St. Albans, West Virginia and has been involved in dentistry since 2003. In August 2012, she walked through the doors at Edinburgh Family Dentistry to ask if we were hiring and has been with us since that day. “I truly believe God was watching over me when I walked into Edinburgh Family Dentistry. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to work.” Melissa is our patient coordinator and is one of the smiling faces you see when you walk into the office. She brings an infectious joy to the practice. If you need help with an upcoming appointment, have questions regarding your insurance, or need to set an appointment, Melissa will be happy to assist you. Melissa has been married to her high school sweetheart for 30 years. They have two children who they raised in Poca, WV, the home of the Dots! They also have two beautiful grandchildren who they enjoy visiting as often as possible. Melissa and her husband relocated to the Hampton Roads area in 2012. Patient Concierge
A member of the Edinburgh Family Dentistry team since May 2012, Pamela was born and raised in Southwestern Pennsylvania and moved to the Hampton Roads area in 1998. Hers is one of the friendly faces you see when you first walk in the door. She has a passion for our patients and always strives to let them know how much we care about them. Pamela processes the new patient questionnaires, verifies insurance, checks in patients, and schedules appointments. Pamela is married to a Chesapeake native and has four beautiful children and a precious grandson, born in 2015, who is the light of her life. Pamela’s family attends Heritage Church in Chesapeake. She loves traveling, going to PA to visit her family, hanging out with her friends, and going to the beach.Raven B.
Hygiene Coordinator
Raven was born and raised in Norfolk, VA. She began her journey in helping others through dentistry eight years ago as a dental assistant. Raven joined the Edinburgh Family Dentistry Front Desk Team in November 2016 and she loves her new team. As one of our hygiene coordinators, you can ask her any questions regarding your upcoming appointment, insurance coverage or if you need to schedule an appointment; Raven is always happy to assist you. Raven has a younger brother, Jalen, who she loves to brag about. A few of her favorite hobbies include shopping and spending time with her family and friends. She is also currently studying human services at Tidewater Community College.Ray M.
Scheduling Coordinator
A South Carolina native, Ray has been a resident of Hampton, VA for the past five years and recently relocated to Virginia Beach. She began pursuing her career in dentistry five years ago and has developed a great passion for helping people. She joined the Edinburgh Family Dentistry team in February 2017 because she believes in both the dentists and her team members. Ray helps check out patients once they have completed their appointments. If you have questions regarding scheduling an appointment or an outstanding insurance claim, she will be happy to assist you. Treatment Coordinator
Stephanie was born in Denver, Colorado, and grew up in Chicago. She moved to Virginia in 2010 to escape the cold winters and enjoy the beach. Stephanie’s mother is a dental assistant and influenced her passion for dentistry. Stephanie joined the Edinburgh Family Dentistry front desk team in November 2016. If you have any questions regarding your lab cases, pre-treatment estimates, insurance, or scheduling an appointment, Stephanie will be happy to assist you. Recently engaged, Stephanie is planning a spring wedding in May 2018. In her spare time, she enjoys riding the back roads of North Carolina and Chesapeake on her motorcycles.Molly C.

Molly was born in Chesapeake and has lived here for 17 years. She has been with Edinburgh Family Dentistry since August of 2016 and works with us part time. Molly is one of the smiling ladies who can help you check out after your visit and schedule your follow-up appointments. A senior at Deep Creek High School, Molly plans to attend college and eventually head to medical school. She is one of six children and one of 12 grandchildren. She enjoys reading, listening to music, hanging with her family, and volunteering.Alex L.

Alex was raised in a Navy family and has lived in various places throughout her life. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. Recently, she put down roots in Great Bridge and cannot imagine being anywhere else. Alex has been a dental hygienist at Edinburgh Family Dentistry since 2014. She loves every aspect of dental hygiene, especially caring for her patients and developing friendships. She says, “We have talented, kind doctors and a team that feels more like family. The best part is our family is always growing because we consider our patients family too! Alex loves spending time with her husband, Bryan, his daughter, Sydney, and their two fur-babies, Dexter and Daphne. Raised in Chesapeake, Alicia graduated with honors from Old Dominion University with a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene. She has been helping our patients achieve their oral health goals since 2012. Her positive, upbeat, and caring attitude is a huge asset to our practice. Alicia is quick to make patients feel at ease by building confidence, trust, and friendships. Alicia resides in Chesapeake with her husband, Greg, and their fur baby, Gunnie. Mandi is originally from Houston, Texas (Go Astros!) and has been in Virginia since 2006. She graduated from Old Dominion University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. She has been a part of the Edinburgh Family Dentistry family since 2015 and currently works part time in order to spend the majority of her days watching her little boys grow. Speaking about working at our practice, Mandi says, “I love that I am a part of a team that not only delivers the best dental care but also values family as much as I do!” Mandi met her husband, Kevin, while in college, and they have been married since 2014. They have two beautiful little boys, Kevin and Henry. They enjoy going to the Virginia Beach Aquarium, the YMCA, and, of course, the beach.Courtney T.
Registered Dental Hygienist
A graduate of Old Dominion University, Courtney holds a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene. During her time at ODU, she was involved in a variety of organizations, including her beloved Delta Zeta sorority. She originally moved back to her hometown of Chesterfield, Virginia, but her love of the beach brought her back to the area. Courtney joined the Edinburgh Family Dentistry team in February 2017. She is excited to be part of the growing EFD Team. Her bubbly personality and her attentive chairside manner is a wonderful addition to our practice. Courtney married her husband, Joe, in 2017, and they became residents of Moyock, NC. Along with their two dogs, Bella and Tater, they take many day trips to the beach. Courtney loves attending concerts, no matter the genre or the location! Courtney and Joe absolutely love to travel and are always planning their next big trip, or at least a weekend getaway.Jennifer F.

Jennifer has been in the Hampton Roads area since 1989 and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from Old Dominion University. Over her 22 years in the dental field, Jenn has enjoyed helping patients maintain their healthy smiles while building long-term relationships with them. She joined our clinical staff in December 2016. Jenn feels blessed to be a part of our team and says it feels more like a family. In addition to being a wife to her husband, Jim, Jenn is also a proud mother of three beautiful children. Their family also has a pug named Bogey. They enjoy scuba diving, paddle boarding, going to the beach in the summer, and attending Virginia Tech football games in the fall.Lauren S.

Lauren grew up in Montpelier, Virginia and attended Randolph Macon College where she graduated with a degree in biology. She then attended Old Dominion University, where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. She joined our team in 2011 and has discovered a passion for helping our patients improve and maintain their oral health. On her time at Edinburgh Family Dentistry, Lauren says, “I’ve enjoyed meeting and building great relationships with patients over the years and look forward to many more years with EFD.” Lauren lives in Virginia Beach with her husband and their fur baby, Alfie. Registered Dental Hygienist/Clinical Coordinator
Suzanne joined the Edinburgh Family Dentistry team in February 2010 and serves as both our senior registered dental hygienist and our clinical coordinator. She ensures competent, quality patient care is provided through training, oversight, and adequate staffing of the dental hygiene and dental assistant departments. She brings more than 30 years of experience in dental care to uphold the highest standards of clinical care, cleanliness, and safety. A native Floridian, Suzanne graduated from the University of Florida. She and her husband, John, have been married for 29 years, and they have two wonderful children, Danielle and Nicholas. When Suzanne is not in the office, she enjoys gardening and reading.Amy L.

Amy is a Norfolk, Virginia native who started her career as a dental assistant in Virginia Beach 30 years ago on a whim, not knowing how far it would take her and that she would love it so much. She has worked and studied both in Virginia and Maryland, where she received her dental assisting and expanded functions certificates. Amy joined the Edinburgh Family Dentistry clinical team in 2013. She is Dr. Curling’s dental assistant and brings years of knowledge and a kind, friendly chairside manner to our patients. Amy lives right here in the Great Bridge area and has three sons ranging in age from 13 to 30. She enjoys relaxing with her family on the weekends and baking goodies for the staff.Emily M.

Emily was born and raised in Chesapeake, Virginia, and attended Tidewater Community College. Emily has been a dental assistant for over 10 years and is Dr. Conrad’s assistant. She joined the Edinburgh Family Dentistry team in December of 2016 and loves being a part of the EFD family. Emily currently lives in Currituck, North Carolina, with her young daughter. Born in Yalta, a resort city on the south coast of the Crimean Peninsula, Lisa traveled often with her Navy family. She graduated from the medical school in Lyceum and earned a bachelor’s degree in economics. In 2008, she relocated to the United States where she received her dental assistant certification from Oklahoma University. Lisa joined the Edinburgh Family Dentistry family in January 2017. She is passionate about dentistry and loves to help people with their dental needs. One of her favorite aspects of assisting is seeing the patients enjoy the results of great dentistry. Lisa is happily married with two beautiful daughters and one son. She and her family moved to Virginia in 2016 where she continues her dental career with Edinburgh Family Dentistry. When she has free time, she loves spending it with her family, traveling, exploring new things, playing tennis, and doing barre3 classes.Shelby M.

A Chesapeake native, Shelby has been a dental assistant for the past five years. She joined our clinical team in January 2017 and is the dental assistant for Dr. Gutierrez. She brings a smile to everyone she meets and brightens the office with her kind personality. She has two labs, Bear and Lynyrd, and two cats, Vanderbilt and Stella.

Dental Assistant
After being a dental assistant since 1997, Theresa joined the Edinburgh Family Dentistry clinical team in March of 2017. She is passionate about patient care and brings her years of knowledge to the practice. Theresa is the proud mother of a son and twin daughters. Her son and his wife live in Baltimore, and her daughters live in Richmond. She loves spending time with friends and family, and spoiling her grandkids, Max and Piper. She also has two miniature dachshunds who are very spoiled.
